Everyone’s looking for love,
Some of us in the wrong place.
Discontented, disillusioned with life
We wear the mask across our face
Some fall in the arms of any lover,
Tricked by the need to ease the pain.
Trying to take cover,
Shelter from the rain.
Fragmented and fortified,
In search of redemption.
A fleeting moment of bliss
Futile, hindering ones ascension.
Very well written. I really liked this post . Hope to read a lot more posts in the future 🙂

Very interesting Hanim. Although, personally, I feel that something is missing. Will not say what, as it is not my place to do so. It is a bit like your image above, full, but not quiet complete. These are not criticisms, besides, what do I know of poetry? Thought provoking and something else. Which, again, I will not mention at present as I am not sure about the security of this page/sight. There is also something, that I feel having read all of your poems, that permeates them all. Again I will not say for now. Keep on writing please.

I’m intrigued to know what theme you have picked up in my writing. I’m guessing that’s what you mean by ‘permeates’.
